Creating a Newsletter is Not a Secret

Hi friend, Chris here,

If you’ve ever considered starting a newsletter… but you're not sure where to start… you’re not alone.

I procrastinated this for years. (it's embarrassing to admit)

Now? I've got an organized system for keeping an open conversation with my target clients.

AKA, a newsletter. I'll share my system below.

But first, I must say it's been one of the most rewarding things I've ever done, personally or professionally.

Why So Rewarding?

1) It has given me a written history of my progress and breakthroughs along the way. It helped me to create tools like the Core Message Map, The ARC Method and The Brand Glossary.

Plus a few I haven't reviled yet.

2) It has created relationships with new clients that have directly converted into business.

So if a newsletter or written email is something you have been considering, I highly recommend it.

The System

Without a system for keeping a consistent content flow, it will become a burden and you'll burn out.

Over time, this system turns scattered ideas into a library of clarity — and that’s what builds trust

It's like this.

  • Topic Bank; start with a long list and narrow it down
  • Real life - relatable experience or story
  • CTA - an action you want them to take

2 Tools That Make It Work

Once you've got a topic, It’s built around two frameworks you already know:

Together, they make every newsletter simple, clear, and strategic.

The Newsletter Template

  1. Subject Line – Clear problem → clear outcome.
Ex: “Why your content isn’t converting (and how to fix it).”
  2. Attention (Opening) – Hook with the pain your audience feels.
  3. Relate (Story) – Share a lived-experience moment that proves you understand.
  4. Convert (Takeaway + CTA) – Teach a clear lesson and point to ONE next step.

The “Convert” step should always match your Offer Ladder:

  • Tier 1: Download a template.
  • Tier 2: Book a session.
  • Tier 3: Join a program or enroll in an offer.

Never stack CTAs.

One story → one action.

That’s why this template works — it gives clarity, and clarity builds trust.

Final Thought

Next time you sit down to write your newsletter, don’t guess.

Choose from your topic bank.
Pull one story from your Message Map.
Run it through ARC.
End with a single, clear CTA.

Simple. Repeatable. Effective.

That's all for now.

Chris

P.S. What if 12 months from now, you weren’t just sending emails — but had a profitable personal brand up and running?

Too many coaches sit on the sidelines, watching competitors build authority and momentum while they wait for “the right time.”
