Inner Doubt and Outer Misalignment

Hi Friend,

“In my mid-thirties, something shifted.

I was hustling hard—pushing, chasing, doing all the things I thought I was ‘supposed’ to do.

But inside, I was burning out.

It took years to realize it: I had outgrown the audience I was serving.

No matter how hard I worked, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I wasn’t making the impact I was meant for. And I believe eventually every professional runs into this same wall.

Two hidden barriers:

  • Inner doubt: “Am I still relevant? Does my experience even matter anymore?” "I don't feel like I fit in anymore."
  • Outer misalignment: “Am I still talking to the right audience, or have I outgrown them without realizing it?”

If those two aren’t dealt with, they keep you stuck.

But when you name them and work through them, you find clarity, a new sense of relevance, and often—an audience that’s been looking for the same answers.

“In order to go up, I had to give up.” –Michael Cole

I was told If I wanted a new result I only had to change one thing. Everything.

This has become the first challenge we tackle in the C4 Framework: helping you get clear on whether you’re serving the right audience, for the right reasons, at the right stage of your career.

Because nothing else—no course, no funnel, no strategy—works if you’re misaligned.

I'm sharing this now because every coach, consultant, founder I've spoken to lately––they are all transitioning to a new audience. But in the process it's hard to see.

It starts to feel like failing. But it's not. You're evolving.

Chew on this

Pick one of these questions to reflect on and journal about it this week:

  • What hard-earned lessons have you lived through that no book, course, or AI could have given you?
  • Who are you actually most energized to serve right now? Is it the same group you started with?
  • Do you ever feel bored, underpaid, or under-challenged by the problems your current audience brings you?
  • If you zoom out, what does your audience’s next stage of growth look like? What challenges await them there?

Is this hitting home, but feel like you might need some help fleshing it out? Let's talk!

When I started shooting video, it became obvious that video was a small part of what my clients needed help with. They needed to refine their message. To evolve.

Many of them were stuck repeating lessons from yesterday or regurgitating trends. Not being true to their core.

I'm preaching now so I'll close with this...

Launching something new is hard. The work ahead will stretch you. But if are aligned, you’ll move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Talk soon,
Chris

P.S. Before the year ends, I’ll be opening up a few new ways to work together—designed specifically for coaches, consultants and founders ready to realign your message and offers–with an evolved target audience. .

But if you’re already sensing misalignment, don’t wait to get clear. Let’s talk. A simple conversation could save you months (or years) of spinning your wheels and open up the clarity you need for your next chapter.
